License

Blockbird is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms add details about the service; if they conflict with the standard EULA, the standard EULA applies.

What Blockbird does and doesn’t do

Blockbird blocks ads, trackers and other unwanted content using community filter lists, through Safari content blockers and a DNS filter that runs on your iPhone. No blocker catches everything: some ads may still appear, some pages may show empty spaces or need to be allowed to work properly, and ads inside apps such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or games that come from the same servers as their content can’t be blocked.

Filter lists

Filter lists are made by independent authors and used under their licenses, listed in the app under Settings → Filter lists and licenses. We may add, update or remove lists in app updates.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Blockbird to break the law, and don’t copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app except as the law or the standard EULA allows.

Disclaimer

Blockbird is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in the standard EULA and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for content on websites and in apps you use with Blockbird.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. If a change materially affects you, we’ll tell you in the app before it applies.
